Multiple Sclerosis is an autoimmune disease that attacks the white matter of the brain and spinal chord in young to middle age people. The conventional treatment has the potential for significant side effects and has a variable success. Cindy Sweeley developed multiple sclerosis at age 42 and took the conventional treatment at first. She then stopped after being free of symptoms while plant based. She educated herself on the merits of plant based nutrition and gave it a go. Now she would like to share her story and success with others. She has started a business called Vegan Cravin and has completed the ecornell T. Colin Campbell course on plant based nutrition. Enjoy our chat. Also check out John McDougall’s review of a low fat plant based approach to the treatment of multiple sclerosis. He interviews Roy Swank MD the former head of neurology at Oregon Health and Science on his successful approach to treating patients with MS with a whole food plant based diet.
