Welcome and thank you for listening! Happy New Year! I have had a few emails asking about what my plant based medical practice is like. I also had a PA student interested in incorporating plant based nutrition into training shadow me for a couple of days. It was a big difference from energy packed hospital rotations. No emergencies, laid back, taking time to talk extensively to patients and even cook for them. No adrenal rushes of trying to save a life in danger. Just happy healthy members becoming better ever day as they learn more about plant based nutrition and movement. I admitted that I was afraid of not having the adrenaline rush of taking care of critically ill patients at first. Then I realized that that adrenaline rush could be reversed by education of those same patients on how to reverse lifestyle diseases.
80% of hospital admissions could be prevented if we can get people to realized the relationship food and movement has to lifestyle diseases. But it takes time. A 10 minute office visit cannot accomplish this.
This episode dives into this discussion as well as exciting new goals for the up coming year.
Come join me and my staff this spring for a day of plant based education and enlightenment at our 4th Annual Charlotte County Plant Based Nutrition Conference March 30, 2019. Looking forward to another year of getting stronger and becoming more motivated to be the healthiest I can be in this moment. It has almost been a year since my family (Chris, Sally and I ) joined your practice and we really have been treated like family. Working together with you(Dr.), Dawn (RN), Addie (RDN), and Barbara (Admin.) has encouraged and supported us to continue to learn what being health really means. Your membership education classes create a time for my family to share our struggles, get Plant-Based smart, eat great food after the cooking demos, laugh a lot, and just plain have fun getting healthy with other members.
Here’s to a Happy and Healthy 2019!

It is going to be a great year!
